For the first time since its inception, a bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act has successfully passed the House and the Senate, and is on its way to the president’s desk, where it will obviously be vetoed.

Nevertheless, within the hour, The Briefing, the opposition research arm of the Hillary Clinton campaign, released a 30-second web ad highlighting the potentially catastrophic results that could come from repealing the act.

The spot claims that if Republicans were able to successfully defund Obamacare, “18 million Americans could lose health coverage,” and “we could go back to denying coverage over pre-existing conditions.”

While Republicans in Congress do not have the votes to override a presidential veto, the fact that the bill made it all the way to the president’s desk marks a significant symbolical victory for lawmakers who have been trying to scrap the law since 2010.
