Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee ended his 2016 presidential campaign last night after failing to register in Iowa, where he won in 2008. He sought to repeat some of that 2008 success to revitalize his 2016 candidacy – but unfortunately for Huckabee, Republican voters aren’t in the mood to be repetitive these days. And in his last ad, “Not for Sale,” Huckabee ended up just torching a pile of money – both figuratively and literally. You may notice in the ad, the face on the faux $100 bill isn’t Ben Franklin… it’s Barack Obama.

What’s Next for Mike Huckabee?

Huckabee wasn’t able to win over many voters this cycle, but his ad team may be deserving of an award for “weirdest political ads of 2016.” None of the spots helped Huckabee’s campaign get off the ground, but they certainly almost always got people talking. Maybe that will be enough for Huckabee to convince Fox to give his show another season. Check out all of Mike Huckabee’s 2016 ads here.
